The New Police HQ, Cop Up ?


When I heard Senator Ozouf wanted to put the Cop Shop at Green Street Car Park, I thought it was a Joke & how right I was, after listening to Deputy Martin's Speech to her Proposition, why O why do they want it there! 

I have put this up because I think it is important that people know what's going on, I know its long but you may want to Listen or you Don't, Simples.
You take your choice.

Can't do every Proposition Debate, But I think the ones like this should be out there for all too Listen too. If they want. Hope you want this, I'll but the next one's up so we can all Here what they have said in years to come which ever way it goes! 


The Education & Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel, are not convinced of this location. 

Here is Deputy Macon who is the Chairman of the Scrutiny Panel giving his Statement to the Proposed Relocation of the States of Jersey Police HQ to Green Street Car Park.



Now we had 10 minutes of Questions.


Chief Minister ties to stop the Debate.



Then they debate on putting it back for 2 weeks.
Senator Ozouf carries on the debate. He cancelled a Jolly for this Debate Do you not Know.




Now we have Deputy Judy Martin with her speech on her Proposition.

This is a good Question "Where did Green Street Site car park come from" was it Deputy Noel's Idea. He's not saying a lot?



No Room for our Parish Police ! "Are they not the one's that Charge us good people" Vans to be Parked Down at La Collette!!!



The Debate begins with the Home Affairs Minister Senator Le Marquand wanting it to come back in  2 weeks, Deputy Young has it Right, but Senator Ozouf wants it Passed NOW. 




Deputy Tadier agrees with Deputy Young.


Deputy Macon answers, Deputy of St Mary ! & then the Vote for it to go back to Scrutiny.

4.  Deputy T.M. Pitman of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“Would the Chief Minister explain why he made the statement on 16th October 2012 concerning the investigation of allegations against a former Senator in relation to planning corruption and on what basis was the statement made?”






5.  Deputy M. Tadier will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“With reference to the proposed Committee of Inquiry into Historic Child Abuse, will the Chief Minister confirm that Paragraph 10 of the proposed Terms of Reference will allow the Committee to review the suspension of the former Chief Officer of the States of Jersey Police and whether the suspension was because of concerns relating to the prosecution of offenders?






9.  Deputy J.H. Young of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Minister for Planning and Environment –

“Would the Minister explain why in his public comments, he has described the development of Housing on the headland at Plémont as an ‘environmental improvement’, when the Planning Inspector’s report concluded that housing at Plémont conflicted with the Island Plan Spatial Strategy and required ‘cogent, exceptional justification’ and how he will prevent his advocacy of this proposal having a damaging effect on the future integrity of the Island Plan?”



14.  Deputy M. Tadier of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“In the light of last week’s decision by the Minister for Planning and Environment to grant planning permission for 28 homes to be built on the site, will the Chief Minister be persisting with his proposition seeking to acquire the former Plémont Holiday Village (P.90/2012)?”

Here I've got the Interview that John Humphies on Radio 4 did yesterday, He was interviewing his big Boss George Entwistle. Mr Hunphies does not let his Boss have a easy time & was it what made 
Mr Entwistle dramaticly resign ?



Now we have BBC Jersey Radio's Presenter Matthew Price Interviewing his local Boss about
Child abuse being Covered up in Jersey & the Local BBC playing its part in the Cover Up.
We have to remember that the States of Jersey Sacked our Chief of Police
Because he was doing his Job in Un Covering the abuse that was happening in our States Care Homes.
The Local BBC reported on the Prosecution Case against the Chief of Police But have not
Reported on the Defence Case, The BBC have had the 64,000 word Defence Case for over a Year.
Mr Gripton says he does not tell anyone what he planes to do with it!
You have had it for over a year, that tells me that you are not going to do anything with it.
Your Covering it Up.
No other way to describe what you are doing.




Why doesn't Matthew Price do proper Interviews. I think they all love there Job to much to rock the Boat.
This is no good.
John Humphries needs to come over here & do the Interviews.

“Under what conditions can confidential counselling and medical information be used in open court and are current procedures consistent with the European Convention on Human Rights and Data Protection legislation







3. Deputy T.M. Pitman of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Minister for Home Affairs –

“Will the Minister undertake to provide in writing a detailed ‘audit trail’ identifying what items were retrieved during the Haut de la Garenne investigation, advise where they were sent for analysis, who sent/authorized them to go, who examined them, where each item is currently stored and confirm that no items from this investigation have been lost or destroyed?”





4. Deputy M. Tadier of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Chief Minister–

“In view of allegations of political misconduct surrounding the suspension of the former Chief of Police , will the Chief Minister be proposing Terms of Reference for the Committee of Inquiry into historic child abuse that will allow it to gauge whether there was any undue political interference in policing 
matters and, if not, why not?”





6. Deputy M.R. Higgins of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Minister for Home Affairs –

“Will the Minister advise whether foreign writers require a special visa to enter Jersey and write about what goes on in the Island and, if so, under what piece of legislation is this administered and what was the role, if any, of his department in the exclusion of Leah McGrath Goodman from the United Kingdom on her way to Jersey?”
