Questions without Answers 18/06/13.

A busy Day for the Chief Minister. That Dean has a lot to Answer for, look at the trouble the chief's in.

5.  Deputy T.M. Pitman of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“Following his meeting with the businessmen who raised concern at seeing the Assistant
Minister with responsibility for External Affairs reading confidential documents in full view of
the public on a flight, does the Chief Minister support the Assistant Minister’s views expressed
on 14th May 2013 that the allegations were ‘inaccurate’ and gave a ‘fictitious and malicious
account’ and, if not, will he now be asking his Assistant Minister to resign?

8.  Deputy J.A.N. Le Fondré of St. Lawrence will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“Further to his answer on 4th June 2013 when he stated he had requested the Bishop to make
public the terms of reference for the Dame Heather Steel investigation into the Korris review,
would the Chief Minister advise whether he has received an update relating to this matter, given
that a visitation connected to the investigation has just commenced for which the terms of
reference are available?”

12.  Deputy M.R. Higgins of St. Helier will ask the following question of H.M. Attorney General –

“Will H.M. Attorney General advise members to whom the Chief Officer and Deputy Chief
Officer of the States of Jersey Police are accountable for their conduct and who would determine
whether they should be investigated in circumstances in which they are alleged to have perverted
the course of justice?”

13.  Deputy M.R. Higgins of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“Would the Chief Minister agree that a public sector employee should not knowingly lie or try to
deceive a civil or criminal court or tribunal and that such an act would constitute grounds for
instant dismissal for gross misconduct?”

14.  Deputy R.G. Le Hérissier of St. Saviour will ask the following question of the Chief Minister –

“Would the Chief Minister establish an independent inquiry to report expeditiously about the
allegations that the Assistant Minister for External Relations has obtained and read in public
confidential documents associated with the suspension of the Dean and, if not, why not?”

TheJerseyWay would like to Credit & Thank BBC Radio Jersey for making these recording's possible.

Good job TJW, that was absolutely stunning!

That clown Gorst simply cannot answer a single question with any ounce of honesty or integrity, rather, opting to run around dodging bullets whilst impersonating a headless chicken.

I think we Bloggers should all chip in and buy Gorst a permanent rigid titanium prosthesis, that is, if we can actually find something to attach it to!!!

I am confused, did not the chief minister say that he had not met with or spoken to his assistant minister. He then stated that he understands that the AM intends to make a personal statement to the house ,how does the CM know this unless he has communicated with him
recently. I got the impression that the CM was trying to say I can't answer your questions because until I discuss it with the AM Iam in the dark.

So in effect Gorst is saying that if any member of the council of ministers commits any serious crime during their leisure time it's nothing to do with him!!!!!!!!!

Let me explain Gorst, when you are elected to be a politician and especially when a member of the executive you are responsible for your actions 24/365.

Analogy, the states treasurer (a civil servant) gets caught nicking toilet rolls from the coop. " weeks later in the states Gorst says "he wasn't at work at the time so it's fine and dandy and nothing to do with me".

You couldn't make this up, once again that statement is not sufficient to describe what's going on here. I am seething.

Ian Gorst, yet again, displaying the backbone of a jellyfish.

He doesn't doubt Chief Minister Bailhache's version of events and doesn't doubt the businessmen's version of events. Both events are complete opposite and he doesn't doubt either of them!

You just couldn't make this sh1t up!

The truth is (that means the opposite of 'lie' Philip and Ian) that Questions are treated with complete contempt by both of these 'politicians'. And all whilst the majority of States Members - the Silent Assassins sit there and do nothing because they are either too damn scared or simply have equal contempt for the public.

It comes over clearly to listeners that the Chief Minister has taken sides.

He also plays to the public and members when he states I think its quite clear members are trying to get me to take sides rather than answer question as a Chief Minister should.

No one expects him to be judge and jury that was how Mr Bailhache acts, playing judge over two business men acting out of concern.

Questions 5 and 12 are good clear and to the point. Whats is unbelievable is the way they are answered.

Gorst ( thanks to TJW ) is a must listen for anyone that feels that he is good and trustworthy in his act of chief minister. He is almost as bad as the hapless and ineffective home affairs minister that refuses to investigate alleged high ranking police corruption.

No doubt the Jersey bloggers are collecting objective and truthful information using this site to confirm exactly what this idiot and shallow politicians are saying in Jerseys parliament to be published come election time.

Let them deny this bullish*t then when they are desperate to become re-elected.
