Trevor & Shona, Question 12.

1.  Deputy J.H. Young of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Minister for Education,
Sport and Culture –

“Will the Minister inform the Assembly whether he condones the present practice of some
schools charging their former pupils fees for providing school attendance certificates required
for residence cards and whether he considers the arrangements made to assist the Social
Security Department to issue these cards to school leavers to be satisfactory, and will he state
whether he is proposing any improvements to avoid undue bureaucracy in future?”

4.  Deputy J.A. Hilton of St. Helier will ask the following question of the Minister for Planning and
Environment –

“Would the Minister inform members of the date of the meeting which took place between
himself and representatives of the Co-op which he referred to on 10th September and would he
also state when he made the decision not to take part in determining the planning application?"

6.  Deputy M. Tadier of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Minister for Treasury and
Resources –

“Will the Minister say what plans, if any, he has to improve access to Fort Regent?”

8.  Deputy J.H. Young of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Minister for Education,
Sport and Culture –

“Will the Minister disclose the sites that are being considered for the new Les Quennevais
School and set out the proposed timetable for the project including its consideration by the
Planning system as required by the Island Plan?”

Will have to apologize for the next recording, but its better then not having it at all.

12.  Deputy T.M. Pitman of St. Helier will ask the following question of H.M. Attorney General –

“Following his answer of 10th September in which he stated that a single instance of the
Superior Number failing to exercise its jurisdiction to act on inappropriate standards of honesty,
integrity and/or behaviour of a Jurat would not cause the UK authorities to intervene will the
Attorney General clarify whether this effective lack of challenge to higher authority is compliant
with Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights?

TheJerseyWay would like to Credit & Thank BBC Radio Jersey for making these recording's possible.

"We have a process, blah blah..by which there are well-traveled avenues of appeal for the individual who feels he has been aggrieved... and it is absolutely right that the appeals court should not determine..bah blah...that is not its job and furthermore, the appeals court has determined blah blah blah."

Too bad there isn't any hint of concern with children being used for sex on boats, blatant conflict of interest and visible injustice when there is so much enthusiasm over "Points of Order!"

Well done by the Pitmans and by The Jersey Way for blogging this. I hope many will listen.

Did the BBC producers offer any reason for the poor quality of this audio?

Hi Anon.

I'm going to say, cant blame the BBC for this one. It is just one of those things that sometimes go wrong.

Well said Shona and Trevor ,but where was your back up? Our so called "elected by the people" representatives still prepared to sit back and ignore what is going on in front of their very eyes, they have no backbone whatsoever and I find this whole saga disgusting.

Can we please have a assembly copy of this conversation recording from Trevor and for it to be made public as I think that this conversation sums up the so called judicial system in Jersey and how corrupt our Judiciary/Government is
This recording has to be released to the rest of the world so that potential investors understand how this Island ticks and how corrupt it really is

The silent members who comprise the missing back up will be the first to claim they had wanted to speak up and say something but couldn't. Isn't it always like that after the fall?

They will also claim they didn't know what was really going on, that they were lied to. That might have been true before Stuart Syvret's blog, but we all know they read it because they make eliminating it one of the highest and most expensive priorities of government.

If they really believed Stuart was lying or crazy they would not worry about it at all. Nonviolent crackpots are made fun of but rarely taken seriously by governments. Actually, even violent nurses aren't taken seriously, just political dissidents. They fear him because he is not deluded.

When the reverse spin starts, blogs like this will remain permanently ensconced in some foreign domain to ensure the complicit behaviour and words of the complicit are never forgotten.

Lessons were not learnt very well from the history of the occupation. We can relearn how these lessons play out with Jersey.

The audio is more helpful than a transcript because the arrogance can't be missed in the oligarchy exasperation with being questioned.

Mr Syvret, the magnitude of what you have done may well be lost on most of your readers. It isn't lost on the legal profession nor intelligent observers further afield. You have, as you correctly observed, 'faced down' the Jersey courts. People never, and I mean 'never', 'face down' a court. At least, not if the society is respectable and the person not a tyrant with an army at his back. Or, of course, in the case of an ordinary person like yourself, no court confident of its respectability would be 'faced down'. Our society is not respectable. And alas our courts even less so. As some 'higher external power' has finally had the good sense to recognise, it would seem. There can be no other explanation for you not being in prison. I am, incidentally, glad that you are not, and relieved, and deeply saddened at the same time. I've savoured a certain schadenfreude when discussing the situation with other lawyers & saying 'I told you so' when reminding them of the innumerable times I said 'no good would ever come of the folly of the actions against you, and it could only end in lasting damage to the island'. So it has come to pass. It saddens me that so many colleagues have been too fearful & foolish to have moved to stop this madness (and that is not an inappropriate word)when our Crown Officers embarked on the lunacy several years ago.

Will you be a candidate in the next elections?
