Question 8, From Tuesday 18/01/11.

8. Deputy M. Tadier of St. Brelade will ask the following question of the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture –

“Following the Minister’s statement 6th December 2010 that all allegations against members of staff at the Education, Sport and Culture Department relating to historic abuse cases had been thoroughly investigated by the appropriate authorities and concluded, will he now follow the precedent of the Wiltshire enquiry and publish a redacted version of the investigation reports?”

I thought Bill Ogley told our sacked Police Chief that no one was going to get his mate, they would have to go though him first. So the Police if Ive got this right Have Not Investigated The Person in Question.

So is our Minister Misleading us!!

Do we have any way to verify that the police did investigate allegations against staff at the education sport and culture department?

Minister answering questions sound very angry?

TJW.

The Education Minister doesn't know of the allegations recently made in court about a member of his staff? Well hasn't he got any obligation to find out? we are talking about alleged Child Abuse!!
He doesn't even question it and says he has full confidence in ALL his senior staff.

In your main posting you said "So the Police if Ive got this right Have Not Investigated The Person in Question."

As far as I am aware, the police did investigate this and believed there was enough evidence to prosecute. It was the Attorney General that prevented it going to court.
